One of the advantages of being married to a firefighter (besides the obvious one of them looking really good in that uniform – I swear that you could put the Hunchback of Notre Dame in a firefighter uniform and chicks would flock to him … not that Derek looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame … more like a pudgy Mr. Clean … you get the idea) is that they work 24 hour shifts, which means that they are off for 24 hours at a time, which means that they can spend their days off running errands for their wives.
A month ago I posted about us applying for a home equity loan. Nobody commented on that post, so I can only assume that nobody read it or the people who read it actually don’t give a damn …. but just for today, let’s pretend that you do.
I sent documentation and paperwork and other fun things with Derek to the loan officer this morning.
I didn’t hear anything from him for several hours, so me in my controlling way had to know what the loan officer’s assistant said. So I texted Derek.
me: what did the chick at the bank say?
him: she said, “Good Morning … Welcome to BancFirst”
….. oh yeah … that man just oozes wittiness … it’s a good thing that he looks sexy in that uniform!

Firemen do NOT look half bad in uniform. Not gunna lie there. I married myself a Marine, who could totally rock the camo. But he’s out and doesn’t wear it anymore.
Lisa recently posted..What are you reading?
I know the feeling …. Derek doesn’t wear the uniform unless he is at work and he wears jeans and a t-shirt to and from work …. so I only see him in uniform if I go by the station.
Congrats on the loan. I know it will help your financial situation.
Is that the bank were your daughter now works?
Or did you transfer your accounts after she was hired?
Nope – different bank. We didn’t have to close our accounts, I know somebody who works there and they were able to put our accounts on “restricted” status so that the only people who can view our transactions are upper management.
