In the June issue of O (Oprah) Magazine there is a brief interview with comedian and actor, Chris Rock. One of the questions asked him about his views on life and he talked about how when he was first starting out he had really junky cars that were always breaking down on the side of the road. He said that he quickly noticed that if he just sat in his car and waited for help then people didn’t usually stop and offer assistance. However, if he got out and started to push then people would show up to push right along with him.
Wow!
That one little paragraph has given me a new zest … a new umph …. a new “want to” attitude.
I have been sitting around waiting for somebody to save me … when I really should have been trying to help myself, and maybe when people see that I am really trying, they will push right along with me.

I find Chris Rock very wise.
