I am writing again. While waiting for Emily at dance practice on Saturday, I wrote twelve pages … and sorted coupons … and finished reading a book.
It was a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
I’m not the best writer in the world, but I really enjoy doing it and the goal of publishing a book is never going to happen unless I devote the time to actually writing it. So I picked up that tattered notebook and I wrote.

I have a similar problem. Sometimes I think I should just wait until my kids are in school. And sometimes I think that’s stupid and that means I’ll put it off forever.

My goal is to have the entire thing written, edited and ready for publishing by the time the twins are seniors …. which gives me about two years, which sounds like a long time, but really isn’t.
