It’s Not A Keychain … but

Remember when the family would go on vacation and all of the other kids could find keychains with their names on them … but you couldn’t?  I do.  I don’t know why Gina is such an unpopular name but my popularly named siblings NEVER had trouble finding those damn keychains and I was left out.

So I tend to get super excited when I see my name on stuff and in songs (thank you Bon Jovi!).  Last night a commercial came on talking about how technology has advanced and we no longer have the need for a mix tape, sad but true … and then they showed the mix tapes … and I thought it said “Gina” so I asked Derek, “did that really say Gina?”.  He laughed at me … he knew the struggles that I had during the keychain years …. he instantly rewound the TV so I could take a picture …. and yes, I do need to get out more often.

You at least had a chance of finding your name on a keychain (or pencil, or pen, or mug ANYTHING would have been nice). But me? Amity? Not a chance. I love that those mixtapes say Gina. I thought perhaps they were yours and you found them somewhere. Now that would have been cool.
