Derek’s son is still in bed even though it’s past noon.
MY son is shoveling snow off the sidewalks without even being asked.
I’m ignoring the fact that he’s not wearing a coat and that he’s taking a break to play on his phone because HE’S SHOVELING SNOW OFF THE SIDEWALKS WITHOUT EVEN BEING ASKED !!

He’s the one who lives in the apartment in our backyard and the day that the blizzard hit, he came in the house in shorts, a t-shirt and NO SHOES !!! He walked through a foot of snow without any socks or shoes on!!! We just shook our heads and laughed. There wasn’t any point in trying to tell him to put shoes on.
I would be THRILLED too. Can I borrow him? My husband’s son is playing video games…
