Welcome to the End of the World/Zombie Apocalypse/My 21st anniversary edition of Random Reading. None of the things I’ve read lately have anything to do with any of those things, hence the use of the word “random”.
I finished Penny Marshall’s book, My Mother Was Nuts. Penny, aka Laverne of Laverne and Shirley fame, has led a very interesting life and knows A LOT of famous people. It was a good book and one that I recommend to lovers of memoirs.
I’m currently reading The Witness by Sandra Brown. I’ve been a Sandra Brown reader for years and am always amazed by her ability to come up with unique characters and storylines. She has yet to disappoint me.
Next on my list is Life After Death by Damien Echols. Mr. Echols was part of a trio of men wrongly accused in the horrific murders of three small boys in Arkansas. He was sentenced to death row until celebrities and his future wife, who started writing to him in prison after seeing a documentary about the case, fought to find a way for the trio’s release.
Sometimes all anybody needs is a purpose and a second chance. Mansfield Frazier has been giving those things to recovering addicts and former criminals in the form of grapes.

One of my favorite blogs is 1914 House … she knitted a beautiful blanket as a Christmas gift …. I’m so jealous of talented people.
Janelle Brown of Sister Wives fame wrote a wonderful post about being committed to changing bad habits and becoming healthier.

You are too nice! By the way, I giggle every time I see your current (Christmas) header. Also, I’m working my way through my first “box” of wine – it’s a BOTA box!
