A few months ago I came up with the brilliant idea (sometimes I have them) to turn an unused closet in one of the kid’s old rooms (now the dog room) into my writing space/hiding space/office …. hence … The Cloffice.
The first step was finding some sort of desk type item that would fit the fairly small space (length and width). Turns out that wasn’t an easy task.
Then I spotted this $20 gem on Craigslist.
It fits perfectly !!!
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut it was in rough shape.
So much like The Six Million Dollar Man (Google that if you aren’t old enough to know what the hell I’m talking about), it had to be rebuilt. Better. Stronger.
My quite handy husband dismantled the poor thing on our front porch (and sent me pictures of the massacre … what a sicko).
Poor Bigfoot was so upset … he had to turn away.
The top was glued and screwed (hey … that rhymed) back together and the legs glued (no rhyming here) for stability.
Ta-Da! All sanded and ready for paint.
Now on to the next decision …. picking the perfect beige/brown/tan for the Cloffice walls and the perfect navy/royal/random blue for the desk/table.
It might be slow progress … but it’s progress.
