All week long we plan on getting so much done during the weekend. Then the weekend rolls around, we’re exhausted and unmotivated and nothing much gets done. So we start off the week mad at ourselves for not being more productive and behind … not a good way to begin a Monday.
For the past few months I’ve been using my Rewards Method for getting things done (even on the weekends) … AND IT WORKS !!! Click here to watch the video.
It’s a really simple method to motivate people of any age. You can even use it with your kids to get their chores done. We did a modified version of it when our kids were teenagers and wanted to go somewhere … they didn’t leave the house until their list was done. They didn’t really want to be at home, so it worked great. 🙂
Here’s my list for this Saturday … along with my Reward … if everything on the list doesn’t get done, then I don’t reward myself. It’s another part of honest living. I have to be honest enough with myself to know that the rewards don’t come until after the work is done.
Write out a list of 3-5 things that need to get done this weekend (Saturday or Sunday) and then add a reward at the end. Try it … if you really do it … it really works.
