Get To Say It First

D and I weren’t raised in affectionate families.  So we make a point to be affectionate with each other and to tell the kidlets that we love them several times a day.  They tell us too, mostly when they want something … but at least they maintain the guise of caring about us and isn’t that what really matters. 😉

We have a running joke about saying “I love you” to each other:

me:  I love you

him: I love you too

me: why do I always have to say it first?

him: maybe I was just on the verge of saying it and you jumped in before me and blurted it out

me: ok – why do I always GET to say it first?

him: because you’re a selfish bitch

Damn … I love that man!
