How you spend your time, energy, and money shows the world (and yourself) what’s really important to you.
Let that sink in for a minute.
How ARE you spending your time, energy, and money?
Are you spending it on things you SAY are important to you?
If you want to build better relationships with your friends and family, you have to invest in those relationships. Invite them over for dinner. Have a family game night. Talk to them and really listen to what they have to say.
If you want to learn a new skill, you have to invest in learning that skill. Sign up for classes. Read how to do it. Talk to experts in that area.
If you want to be healthier, you have to make investments every single day in your health. Cut back on junk food. Eat more fruits and veggies. Get outside and walk around a little.
I remind myself of this concept all the time, that my life isn’t going to change just because I want it to. I have to make an effort every single day to make my life better, to build better relationships, to learn new things, and be healthier.
I want my actions to match my words.
I want to make (and keep making) good life investments, so I make a conscious effort every single day to invest my time, energy, and money in things that are important to me. Of course, some days are more productive than others, but any investment in those things is better than no investment.
