Simple Solutions … My Nightstand

The more calm and quiet I become, the more the universe opens up my mind and I see things more clearly.  I ask the questions and the answers just seem to come.

I have a love of vintage stuff.  Spending weekends at flea markets and antiques stores is one of my favorite things to do.  The problem is I buy stuff, put it away for later and then forget I have it.

Decluttering has uncovered some of those things.

I use a noise machine at night to sleep.  It’s set on “white noise” which pretty much sounds like well … nothing other than noise.  Absolute quiet is something I’m working on getting used to, but I’m not quite there yet so the noise machine blocks out the quiet (if that makes any sense at all) and helps me sleep.

Well the problem is that the machine turns itself off after an hour, so if I wake up in the middle of the night, notice it’s not running … I slap it back on … which caused it to wear the paint off the wall.

I suggested a touch up repaint to which the hubby suggested I just learn to not sleep with the noise machine.   He’s so damn witty.

Instead I asked the God, the universe and the magic unicorns for an answer and ta-da!

It’s the perfect place for my Simplify sign (I’ll see it at least twice a day) AND the noise machine will no longer rub against the wall.

I love it when things work out.

Ask for solutions and sometimes they just appear.
